Potato Weekly - 08 November 2019

At a glance

  • Lifting has been very slow this week, with minimal progress being made by many. Further rainfall is forecast over the weekend for much of the country and will continue to hinder lifting progress. Poorer fry colour is becoming apparent in some of the late lifted material, from being under stress, but so far this hasn’t become a major issue.

  • Domestic trade has continued at a steady pace for most sectors. Later harvested crop which generally needs a bit of extra working seems to be in good supply but availability of dry material is tightening.
