Horticulture research investment by sector panel (2017/18 - 2019/20)

Research projects tend to run over several years.  The breadth of our research work is, therefore, best illustrated over more than one year. 

The following information shows our research investment by priority and by panel over the last three financial years from 2017/18 to 2019/20. 

Panels are made up of growers and industry representatives to ensure priorities address challenges and opportunities.

Over the last three years, 68% of field vegetable research investment has been on crop protection. 20% on resource management, 9% on labour / robotics and 3% on genetics.
