Garth Weston returned to his family farm in 2016, having spent a large part of his career in the food industry.

Garth has spent the last five years farming 1000 acres just outside Thame and has joined the AHDB Monitor Farm Programme for the three-year term 2022 / 25. His ambition is to continue improving his business by focusing on integrating his livestock into the arable rotation, understanding why we should integrate the two systems and demonstrating that to a broader audience, managing low-lying heavy land and how best to utilise it through rotation, soil health and minimising inputs.

He is keen to make regenerative practices work on his farm and open up discussions that benefit other farmers, including maintaining productivity and profitability, understanding costs, and becoming a true mixed farm. Please check and edit as you wish – unfortunately, there isn’t enough room for everything but the key points.
