10:30am - 3:30pm

Greystone Farm, Caldwell, Richmond,

DL11 7UB

A well designed handling system that is fit for purpose is essential on any cattle farm. Not only does it keep both cattle and handlers safe, it can also make routine tasks easier and quicker to complete, making best use of time and resources. A cattle handling system is an investment, so taking time to properly plan its design will help ensure the outlay is worthwhile.

Join AHDB Beef & Lamb and NFU North East for an interactive on farm event and planning workshop focused on cattle behaviour, handling, system design and lone working.

Miriam Parker, well-known independent consultant from Livestock Wise, will be speaking about cattle handling. Plus, with a focus on lone working, NFU will be joined by What3Words, RABI and FCN to discuss and promote safe farm practices.

Who should attend? Beef farmers who are considering making changes to their cattle handling system or would like to learn how to appraise their current system.
