Pig club meeting: Gloucestershire

Past Event - booking closed

21 May 2019

6:45 PM - 9:30 PM

Fromebridge Mill, Whitminster, Gloucester, Gloucestershire

At this meeting, we are fortunate to have two speakers covering two different topics, so hopefully there will be something for everyone to take away from the meeting.

We'll be hearing from Mark Jagger, a fieldsman with Tulip (BQP) and Ben Golledge, a producer in the south.

Mark will be talking to us about the importance of providing adequate, fit-for-purpose water to our pigs, with some practical suggestions of how to go about this.

He's also happy to address any specific questions or issues that you would like help with relating to this topic, e.g. systems, infrastructure and in-water medication.

Ben will be giving us a virtual tour of his gilt breeding unit. We'll be looking at how to reduce variability while improving productivity, with some best practice and top tips.

Food will be available at 6:45pm.

This meeting is for pig producers in the region.
