Bryan was born, raised, educated and farmed in Zimbabwe and has spent his entire career involved in agriculture. Before moving to the UK in 2006, he also lived and worked in Brazil and South Africa. Bryan has worked with British dairy farmers since moving to the UK and joined AHDB in 2016, initially based in Northern England.  In 2019 he moved to the South and is now the KEM for Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

Bryan enjoys the KEM role and the varied challenges of effective knowledge exchange and engaging with farmers. He regards good communication as fundamental to the success of the job and maintaining a positive approach, working alongside farmers, exchanging information and highlighting to them the ‘gold mine’ of tools and resources AHDB has available to levy payers. He says the best part of the job is the satisfaction gained in facilitating a successful meeting and receiving positive feedback from our levy payers, which he feels is vitally important to making sure we can plan for the future.
