Futures markets allow commodities to be traded on contracts with predetermined prices and delivery dates in the future. The price information is collected from a range of global marketplaces and shows the price trends for a selection of commodities.
Each morning, Monday through to Friday, the previous end of day settlement price is updated.
Futures prices are the price of a commodity traded on the futures exchange which represents an agreement to pay a predetermined price for a commodity at a set delivery date in the future. For example the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) in London or the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) in the USA.
